Onomatopeya

Studio Pomidori

In development

The fluffy "fuwafuwa", the craggy "boroboro" the exciting "wakuwaku". Much more than English, the Japanese languages uses onomatopoeia to indicate all kinds of sounds, feels, and emotions. "Onomatepoya" is a puzzle game built around these common Japanese words. Your character is the newly hired store clerk of a shop owned by a tanuki, and your job is to satisfy the requests of the many customers. They will not tell you directly what they want, but you will need to serve them by touching, shaking, and rotating the products, finding the ones that best fit the onomatopoeia that they want. If you find yourself in trouble, don't worry—the kind shop owner will help you with lots of useful hints. Feb. 2022 PC, Steam, Itch.io
